Anxiety disorders are the most common form of mental illness in the U.S., affecting 40 million adults (18% of the population) every year.

While highly treatable, only 37% of those suffering receive treatment.

In the past 10 years, there has been increasing recognition of anxiety in young people by health care providers, including a 17% increase in anxiety disorder diagnosis.

Yet anxiety symptoms are frequently misunderstood, and as little as 1 % of youth with anxiety disorders seek treatment in the year their symptoms begin.

Anxiety does not always present the way we expect. In this workshop we will:
• Identify what anxiety actually is
• Understand the different ways it can look and present
• Learn about the real impact on us and our loved ones
• Learn tools and practical steps to help our family minimize
the effects of anxiety on our lives
